My name is Beth Slotnick, and I’m a Personal Trainer on Long Island. I graduated from Springfield College in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. I went on to get my CSCS through NSCA (fancy way of saying I’m a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist). I’ve been a Personal Trainer for about 9 years now (how is that even possible?!) and I love the job more and more every day.
I started my fitness journey as a kid, playing tons of sports, and teaching gymnastics. As I got older and scaled down some of my sports, I took some time to go to a big box gym and got hooked. I played tennis throughout college, and that led me into the sports team’s weight room. From the first ‘team lift’ I knew I was in the right place. I needed to be in a gym, moving around, helping others, coaching and spotting. I could never be a sit-down job type of person. The gym is where I feel energized, at home, and at peace. My clients are my family, and I love every minute of it (even the cold winter mornings before the sun is up!!)
4 years of school, 4 internships, and a bunch of jobs and years later, I have found my place and am determined to make the biggest impact I can.
As of 12/30/17 – I am now a Pn1 Certified Nutrition Coach through Precision Nutrition. I now help all types of clients adjust their relationship with food, and rewire their eating techniques for lifelong success.
And now, as of 11/2018, I am a Certified Pre- & Postnatal Coach. I work with mamas as they prepare their bodies for birth, help them recover afterwards, and keep them going on their journey throughout motherhood.
